Spooner, the original late 1960s/early 1970s series starred Kenneth
Cope as Marty Hopkirk and Mike Pratt as Jeff Randall. Jean
was played by Annette Andre. Only twenty-six episodes were made but
it has become a TV classic.
Marty died whilst investigating a divorce case, having been run over by a car. He returns to the land of the living as a ghost in order to help his partner Jeff and try to solve his own murder. His powers include levitation and the ability to move things through wind (i.e. blowing things). However, he must stay close to Jeff or his powers begin to fade. Trivia: The US title for the series was My Partner The Ghost. |
