"Life comes into being in the boundary between Chaos and Order. Remember that."

"I am always impressed by people who ... wear pajamas to work."

"We are a band that needs to be heard."

A-ha grew out of a Norwegian band named Bridges, which was formed in the autumn of 1979 (by Mags and Pal) and was heavily influenced by The Doors. From here, they met Morten, who was in Souldier Blue, a soul outfit which never recorded any studio material. They thought that their best option would be to go to London to become successful and arrived in the capital in 1982. They were spotted by Terry Slater and signed to WEA. After a shaky start they found fame. Take On Me was their first single (taking several re-releases to gain success) and the accompanying video was one of the most spectacular of its time. They continued to make records until 1993, when the band split to pursue solo projects...but now they're back!
