Minor Earth | Major Sky album cover

   coming soon
A-ha were formed in early 1982 and are:
  • Morten Harket - b.14/9/59 (lead vocals)
  • Magne Furuholmen - b.1/11/62 (vocals/keyboards)
  • Pal Waaktaar - b.6/9/61 (vocals/guitar)
The height of their popularity was in the mid to late 1980s, when much of the school-age population took to wearing bits of leather, string or whatever they could lay their hands on, around their wrists, in order to copy Morten.

Their most famous song is probably their debut, Take On Me, which took a re-release or two (I believe) to make an impact on the charts. They also recorded a James Bond theme tune, The Living Daylights, showing their impact on the music industry. Other hits include The Sun Always Shines On TV and Train Of Thought (two of my favourites).

All three have also been working on solo projects. However, they have just released a new album entitled Minor Earth | Major Sky, which is doing well on the Continent. The album was released in the UK on 5 June 2000 (several months after other European countries!).  Look for out for the review in the new reviews section - coming soon!

Visit the Official A-ha site for more details of what they're all doing at the moment.
