| It appears that Sue has got
herself a small part in the BBC1 programme Casualty on Saturday 22nd June
2002 |
| |
Having listened to Mel and Sue's Sunday lunchtime radio show
and read postings on the Cakeshop, it does indeed appear that
Sue got a part as Dr Lloyd, a police doctor, with
about six lines.
There has been much discussion as to when exactly this will be
aired, but it appears that Sue features in the episode shown
on 22nd June 2002 (Series 16, episode 39. tx 22nd June,
2002...to be exact!).
Mel said on their radio show the day after the performance (she was presenting
alone) that she set the video for the wrong channel and
completely missed her comedy partner's performance.
Mel also said that she heard it was a "low key, brave performance"
but is desperate to find out the exact details, so she can
pretend to Sue that she did see it.

: : UPDATE : :
Here are a few stills of Sue's performance (many thanks to
Su for these) and a transcript giving what I could catch of
Sue's lines:

Sue:
Are you alright to take your own top off? [pause] No, it’s
okay. You can keep your bra on for the moment. [pause] Just
need to pull your hair up at the back there. Just nice
and steady.
[sound of photographs being taken]
Patient: So they get to see these pictures?
Sue: They may be used in an interview. They’ll also be
made available to the defence team and the jury may get to see
them in court. We can stop if you want. You don’t have to do
anything you’re not comfortable with.
