Jumping on the corporate
advertising bandwagon, Mel and Sue promote bread
Unfortunately, there's not a great deal to elaborate on here.
The duo have been heading a campaign (from around 2000 onwards
- though it seems to have finished now) to encourage people to
buy Kingsmill.
Basically, the gist is that Sue pretends to have baked the
bread herself and plays the dutiful wife and mother, whilst
Mel tries to tell her she's wrong. In the newest advert,
Sue is lowered into a family's dining room with a bowl of
fruit, whilst Mel promptly sends her skyward with a quick
whistle.
